- Gwenda Ogden Review added: 2018.02.13★ ★ ★ ★ ★I am a volunteer at the food bank which is held in hattersley Baptist church on melandra crescent, first left off Underwood road as you turn onto Underwood road at the traffic lights at the hub. It is open Tuesday 12-1pm and Friday 2-3pm. We also hold a foodbsnk at St Mary's church , take left fork at the lights where you turn right to gĺossop. St Mary's is on left just through the lights and they are open on Monday and Thursday. You need to get a referral form from your doctor, health or welfare officer, saafa, citizens advice, or housing officer. There are six referrers in the Hub on Stockport road, just to mention a few. Both referrers and helpers at the foodbanks are volunteers. Emergency parcels can be obtained out of hours at both food banks. Donations, food or monitary, are very much appreciated as we need to receive these in order to give to the people who are most needy.
